For the Week 8 Homework, we are instructed to visit SAM museum and propose the inanimate objects with human characteristics

2. SITTING, KAMIN LERTCHAIPRASERT
Characteristic seen:
Calmness, tranquil, lazy, Playful
The sculptures adopt a meditative posture - with sitting and stillness, showing calmness and tranquil characteristics. On the contrary, their forms playfully capture the richness of everyday life and its myriad pleasures and pain.

"Mirror" bombs raining down making the rooms glittering. Despite of the flashy atmosphere conveyed, "Bomba" summons the zeitgeist of contemporary times of heady excess and hedonism, amidst catastrophic violence and destruction.

The formal contours of the sculpture evokes the undulating curves and claustrophobic density of forest, conveying an aggressive feeling. Indonesia’s Made Wianta’s “Air Pollution” lifts the issue of air pollution on account of the irresponsibility of human being and indirectly digs into darkness of humans.
5. JURONG WEST STREET 81
Characteristic seen:
Unity and Harmony, cordial, orderly, obliging, nosy, quarrelsome, querulous.
“Jurong West Street 81” proposes nosy situation and shows that most Singaporeans that live in high density high rise Housing Board Flats, facing the unsavory daily prospect of looking into their neighbors’ homes whenever they gaze out of their windows.
Designing the area outside the house by using stickers provided, unintentionally portraits a multicultural vibe within the society.
6. MEWUJUDKAN ANGAN (REALIZING DREAM), YUDI SULISTYO
SINGAPORE IDOLS - ARMY BOYS, JING QUEK
Characteristic seen:
Proud, valiant, patriotism, courageous, energetic, valorous, guarded
War machine and army boys addresses a country's desire for military might and prowess. It dashes our hopes even further to achieve national ambition and power.
7. SEMBAWANG PHOENIX, TANG DA WU
Characteristic seen:
Condescending, arrogant, hopeful, sentimental, incisive,
Phoenix prospects ahead, displaying the condescending and egotistic characteristic. Diamond-shaped mirrors on which the sculpture is perched represent the creature's tears, as it emerges from the ashes of its rebirth, or renaissance, making it more splendor and magnificent.

Gloomy, depress, negative, sloppy, heaviness
Integration with black lead, pain, resin and steel in this sculpture establish the heaviness and oppressive feelings. The background and even sculpture itself are all in black, create gloomy and somber atmosphere. Nevertheless, the carving on the surface adds spice to this sculpture.

Depress, helpless, loneliness, numb, quite, tired, morose.
These pictures have the similarity that present the numb and loneliness feeling as their face are expressionless. There's a phenomenon in Singapore that aunties and uncles will normally be forced to spend rest of their life with other elder in nursing home. In addition, as a breadwinner in their family, foreigner maids are usually uprooted from their hometown, earning money for their family, tiring but still.

Happy, Joyous, naive, playful, bold, funny, lovable.
Colorful pillows which are in miscellaneous shape, size, pattern and even the facial expression stacking together to create jocular atmosphere.
